Our Team 

The staff at Dolton Primary School. 
Head teacher - Mrs R Brennan 
Mrs Brennan works across both schools in the federation. She is also the current SEND co and lead designated officer for child protection. Mrs Brennan completed a degree in History and Archaeology before completing her teaching degree. She has worked in a range of different schools from rural primaries in Suffolk to a large London primary school. She loves it when children come to talk to her about the learning they have done or tell her their news. 
 
Administrator - Mrs L Paiano 
Mrs Paiano took up the role of administrator and bursar for the Federation after working at Great Torrington Academy. She has a degree in Educational studies. She really enjoys the variety of the day especially talking to the children at lunch time. 
 
Key Stage Two Teacher - Mrs P McAdams 
Mrs McAdams completed her degree in English and American literature before completing her teaching degree. She has taught in both small and large schools in Devon. Mrs McAdam is the literacy leader across the schools and responsible for the school if Mrs Brennan is off site. She is also trained as designated child protection lead for safeguarding. Mrs McAdams is passionate about reading and loves to inspire the children with a love of books. 
 
Foundation Key Stage One Teacher - Miss E Dixon 
After completing her degree in Archeaology Miss Dixon went on to complete her PGCE with a specialism in Music and Humanities. Miss Dixon completed her NQT year at Blue Coats Primary in Torrington, after a sucessful secondment to the school in the summer term 2016 she has joined us full time this year. 
 
Learning Support- Miss J Hick 
Miss Hicks trained as a higher level teaching assistant in 2010. She has a vast range of experience of working with children who have additional learning needs, particularly those with specific speech and language needs. Miss Hicks loves the arts and is responsible for the ideas behind much of the fantastic creative work the children exhibit in school and at The Plough arts gallery in Torrington. 
 
Learning Support - Miss H Lefort 
Miss Lefort trained as a higher level teaching assistant in 2010. She has also completed Thrive training and supports pupils particularly with emotional needs. Miss Lefort is also a lunch time assistant and Senior designated child protection officer within the school. Originally trained as a chef Miss Lefort love to teach the children about cooking. 
 
SENDco - Mrs B Wearne 
Miss Wearne works with the school 1 day a week to lead SEND provision. An experienced SENDco from Torrington Blue Coats she has vast experience with additional needs particularly in early years and literacy. 
 
Lunch time Supervisor and School Cook - Mrs S Turner 
Mrs Turner is responsible for the delicious meal that the children enjoy each day. She also helps the children at playtime. She really enjoys creating games with the children and organising talent shows at lunch play.
